The thrill of the hunt

Bailey has bagged himself a wild tassle kill. He proudly displays it to everyone and marches, head held high, down the hallway and back, finally laying it to rest in by the kitchen sink. What a man.

Like my new webcam attachment?

It's not only useful, but it is so realistic looking. Those Japanese sure have the market cornered on cute, kitty-themed electronic accessories.

Playtime with Bailey

I got Bailey a brand new package of fuzzy mice to play with. We have made good use of the long hallway to get Bailey some exercise. Here is 30 seconds of his play for your enjoyment.

On this episode of "Obsessed"...

Bailey has begun his exposure to that which triggers his anxiety - the plastic bag. It is important that he both literally and figuratively "squash" the cause of his irrational fear. He has chosen one of the shopping bags I have emptied from the outlets today. *sniff* I'm so proud of him.

I'd like to think that Bailey has gotten used to and is enjoying his living arrangements during this temporary stay, but there's just no way to tell. On a side note, don't you love the self-censoring tail placement??

Well, ok, just the stairway to our front door. Bailey boldly marched up the first three steps, and then proceeded to sit and pose on each one for the rest of the way up. Then a bus came by. Bailey made a very speedy descent.

Bailey has discovered the un-curtained bedroom window of our next door neighbor. Dirty, dirty boy! The only thing funnier would have been if I saw a startled face appear in the window. Of course, then they would see their landlord taking a photo of their bedroom window, so I guess that would have been awkward. Hmmm.

Introducing: The Outdoor Series

The weather has been so nice outside lately. I have been enjoying it as much as possible, but I feel guilty that Bailey has been missing out. So tonight we took a short stroll to the front walk of the house - Bailey did some discovering, and I diligently snapped photos of his eager cuteness. More pics to come.

I have calmly explained to Bailey that his breakfast is not due for another hour. He is now giving me the evil eye and silent treatment. Sigh. Teenagers these days...

Snug as a....

...Bailey in a blanket! The AC is blasting again, and I must not be the only one who noticed. I tossed a blanket over myself and Bailey, and he seems to be just fine tucked in. As if this wasn't cute enough, I have to back out and show you the full shot:
Aauugh! The tail peeking out is killing me. That and the chills, now that Bailey has taken over the entire blankie. I'm going upstairs to change the thermostat.

Seriously... I'm eating here!

Bailey has discovered the ideal place to sit and watch me eat. I don't even have to microwave my food anymore. The searing heat from Bailey's stares keeps both me and my food warm and toasty. It has, however, made me a much neater, more careful eater.

Target locked

Eyes wide, rear end high, whiskers at full attention. Bailey is locked and loaded. He's gonnna spring into action and snag that tassle any minute now. Any minute. Any..... uh.... Maybe it needs to be a little closer?

Bailey on Marble

Bailey has discovered the shower stall, and I notice how neat he looks against a marble background. Then I notice how easy it would be to turn on the shower. Nah. Not THIS time...

Bailey's Lair

Bailey has found an awesome spot to hide and stalk. Its a tight fit, but he manages to shimmy around just fine down there! Perhaps I will join him...

Bailey is helping me with my office work. His organizational skills are a bit lacking, but I am pleasantly surprised at his telephone demeanor.
